project committee is responsible for developing an ASHRAE standard with
the following title, purpose and scope:
Methods of Test for Life
Testing Positive Displacement Refrigerant Compressors
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this standard is to
provide methods of test for life testing positive displacement
refrigerant compressors.
2. SCOPE
a) This standard applies to the method
of
test for life testing positive displacement refirigerant compressors
that are operated at subcritical (saturated) temperatures of
the
refrigerant.
b) This standard applies to all
refrigerants
listed in the ASHRAE Handbook of Fundamentals and in ANSI/ASHRAE
Standard 34 constrained by the limits defined above.
